Definitions
In this Privacy Policy, the following terms shall have the following meanings, unless the context requires otherwise:
- “Act” means the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023;
- “Agreement” means the user agreement as published on the Website by MRPL (as defined hereinbelow);

Data relates and where such individual is
- a child, includes the parents or lawful guardian of such a child;
- a person with disability, includes her lawful guardian, acting on her behalf;
- “Data” means a representation of information, facts, concepts, opinions or instructions in a manner suitable for communication, interpretation or processing by human beings or by automated means;
- “Grievance Officer” means an individual or entity working under or on behalf of MRPL to address any and all issues regarding the usage of Personal Data of the Customer;
- “MRPL” / “Our” / “Us” / “We” means More Retail Private Limited, having its registered office at 5th Floor, Skyline Icon, 86/92 Off Andheri Kurla Road, Near Mittal Industrial Estate, Andheri East, Mumbai, Maharashtra-400059.

“Personal Data” means and include any Data about an individual who is identifiable by or
in relation to such Data;
The Data shall be collected by Us at various stages and through various means, including but not limited to the following:
- Data collected through Our correspondences and communication with the Customer;
- Data collected at the time of creating an account on Our Website;
- Data generated through Your use of Our Website, including the products viewed by You or added to Your wish-list/shopping cart, any comments or product reviews posted by You on the Website, search terms that referred You to Our Website, how You interact with the Website, pages on the website You visit/access, the links You click on the Website, the number of times You access any page, other websites You open simultaneously while browsing on Our website and any such browsing Data;
- Data about Your device, including any information about Your web browser, internet protocol address, time zone, and cookies that are installed on Your device;
- Data which may be required to identify You or contact You including Your name, age, email address, mobile phone number, contact details, postal code, demographic profile, age, gender, occupation, education, address and other such details;
- Data collected through online surveys in relation to the Website, or Our services and communication made by You via the Website;
- Data in connection with Your participation in any promotions or contests offered by Us;
- Data collected through access to Your device (phone, laptop etc.), including but not limited to the Data received through Your device camera and microphone, information from Your device messages, photos, files and media, information of Your Location, and information about Your device operating system, operating system version, make, model etc.;
- Data collected from You through the Website when You visit and/or use the Website. Such Data may be stored in server logs, and may include Your geographic location, Data collected through Your device camera (including for scanning barcodes and capturing photographs for customer support) and device microphone (for enabling voice search), phone call access, device storage, details of your telecommunication service provider or internet service provider, type of browser (internet explorer, firefox, opera, google chrome etc.), operating system of Your device, website You last visited before visiting the Website, and Your internet protocol address by the internet service provider;
- Your exact geolocation may be captured in order to map Your location to the nearest store of MRPL;
- Data collected through Your messaging service application as We may take ‘read access’ of Your messages/SMSs in order to autofill one-time passwords (OTPs) and Your phone for MRPL customer support to reach out to You and to enable the sending of marketing communication.
- “Policy” means this privacy policy, as amended from time to time, governing the collection and usage of Personal Data by MRPL;
- “Website” means [www.moreretail.in], including the applications available on google playstore or app store or any other platform, controlled and managed by MRPL.
- MRPL is committed to safeguarding Your privacy when You provide Us with Your Personal Data. This Policy explains the manner in which Your Personal Data is collected, Our Data processing practices and the ways in which Your Personal Data is used with Your consent and for legitimate uses. MRPL is the owner and operator of the application “more Grocery Delivery” and this Policy is applicable to all users and/or visitors to the Website.
- This Policy is to be read together with the Agreement and all other policies forming part of the Website, and forms part and parcel of the Agreement.
- Personal Data of a Customer shall be collected with the consent of the
Customer and only for a lawful purpose such as:
- when the Customer registers with the Website;
- when the Customer accesses the Website;
- when the Customer takes any action on the Website; or
- when the Customer corresponds with MRPL.
- MRPL may process Your Personal Data for any legitimate use as permitted by the Act, which includes usage of Personal Data for fulfilling any obligation under any law and for compliance with any judgment, decree or order issued under any law.
- Our primary goal in collecting, storing, and processing your Personal Data is to provide You with a personalized experience on the Website and/or with Our products and services and to process Your order efficiently. You understand, agree, acknowledge and give your consent that Our collection, storage, and processing of Your Personal Data is for a lawful purpose connected with a function or activity of the Website.
- By visiting the Site, You give Your consent for the collection, storage, and use of Your Personal Data by MRPL and to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Policy. If You do not agree, please do not use, or access Our Website.
- You may withdraw Your consent at any time by writing to the Grievance Officer at the contact information provided below. If You refuse or withdraw Your consent, or if You choose not to provide Us with any required Personal Data, MRPL shall have the option to not provide You with such services that can be offered on our Website. In the event of revocation of Your consent MRPL shall have the right to discontinue the provision of services through Our Website, or access to the Website in whole or part to You. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing of any Data based on the consent before its withdrawal.
- You shall only furnish such Data which is verifiably authentic and shall not suppress any material Data, impersonate another person while providing Your Personal Data or register false or frivolous complaints with the Grievance Officer. You shall also adhere to and comply with the provisions of the Act and all other applicable laws.
- Please note that this Policy does not apply to the procedures and practices followed by third party entities or service providers that are not managed, owned, or controlled by MRPL or to the persons that are not engaged, employed, or managed by MRPL.
- Please note that We also monitor customer traffic patterns and Website use, which enables Us to improve the services We provide.
- This Policy shall serve as a notice informing You about the Personal Data collected and the purpose for which it is processed, and Your rights regarding withdrawal of consent and grievance redressal.
- We will use Your contact details to service Your order, process financial transactions, respond to customer service requests, questions, and concerns and communicate with You in relation to the same.
- Please note that certain data processors or third-party service providers not affiliated with MRPL, may be engaged for services relating to resolving Customer queries, grievance redressal and others. For such purposes, We may share your Personal Data, including information relating to Your order, with such third-party service providers. We will enter into a non-disclosure agreement with such third-party service providers, outlining, inter alia, the manner in which such Personal Data will be used by them and the steps required to be taken by them to protect it. Your use of the Website constitutes Your consent to the sharing of such Personal Data with and use thereof by such third-party service providers.
- We may use Your Personal Data to send You offers and news about the products and services of MRPL's business partners, strategic alliance companies and advertisers, group companies or those of other carefully selected companies which We think may be of interest to You.
- Your Personal Data is also used to meet Our research and product/service development needs, to improve Our Website, services, and offerings, and to provide You with a customized and personalized service.
- We would like to hear Your views to help us improve our service and as such from time to time, We may contact You by using Your Personal Data by post, text message, email or phone calls to ask Your opinions and reach out to You regarding important issues about the use of Our services and the Website.
- Please note that there may be instances where it may be necessary for Us to communicate with You, for administrative or operational reasons relating to Our services and the Website.
- Please note that we may use Your Personal Data to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities and/or violations of our Agreement.
- You may correct, complete or update Your Personal Data that has been provided to Us, if there is any change in the same, by writing to the Grievance Officer at the contact information provided below.
- We may use cookies to manage a visitor’s session and to track the patterns of behavior of visitors to Our Website. Cookies may be used irrespective of whether You register with Us or not. “Cookies” are small text files transferred by a web server to Your hard drive and thereafter stored on Your computer. The type of information a cookie collects includes the date and time You visited, Your browsing history, Your preferences, and Your username. You have the ability to either accept or decline the use of cookies on Your electronic device. Typically, You can configure Your browser to not accept cookies, however, declining the use of cookies may limit Your access to certain features of the Website. For example, You may have difficulty logging in or using certain interactive features of our Website.
- You hereby unconditionally give Your consent that MRPL may transfer, share, disclose or part with all or any of Your Personal Data, within and outside of India to third party service providers/partners/banks and financial institutions/governmental institutions for one or more of the lawful purposes and/or as may be required under the Act or any other applicable law.
- Your Personal Data may be passed to and used by MRPL (and its successors and assigns), group companies and affiliates of MRPL, and also including but not limited to third party service providers who provide customer support services, payment gateway services, delivery services, customer loyalty/management services, entities who process and analyze Our Data for marketing and strategic development (on an aggregated basis) and other purposes as may be determined by Us to better cater to the Customers.
- You acknowledge and agree that, to the extent permissible under applicable laws, it is adequate that when MRPL transfers Your Data to any other entity within or outside India, MRPL will place contractual obligations on the transferee which will oblige the transferee to adhere to the provisions of this Policy.
- MRPL may share statistical Data and other details (other than your Personal Data) without Your express or implied consent to facilitate various programmes or initiatives launched by MRPL, its affiliates, agents, third party service providers, partners or banks and financial institutions, from time to time. We may transfer/disclose/share information to those parties who support Our business, such as providing technical infrastructure services, analyzing how Our services are used, providing merchants services, facilitating payments, or conducting academic research and surveys. These affiliates and third-party service providers shall adhere to confidentiality obligations consistent with this Policy.
- Not with standing the above, We use other third parties such as a credit/debit card processing company, payment gateway, pre-paid cards etc. to enable You to make payments for availing Your desired services. When You sign up for these services, You may have the option to save Your card details for future reference and faster future payments. In such cases, We may share Your relevant Personal Data as necessary for the third parties to provide such services, including Your name, residence and email address. The processing of payments or authorization is solely in accordance with these third-parties’ policies, terms and conditions and We are not in any manner responsible or liable to You or any third party for any delay or failure at their end in processing the payments.
- We may also share Personal Data if we believe it is necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, and violations of various terms and conditions of Our policies.
- We reserve the right to disclose Your information when required to do so by law or regulation, or under any legal obligation or in response to a request from a law enforcement or governmental agency or judicial, quasi-judicial or any other statutory or constitutional authority or to establish or exercise Our legal rights or defend against legal claims.
- You further give Your consent that such disclosure, sharing and transfer of Your Personal Data and non-personal Data shall not cause any wrongful loss to You or to any third-party, or any wrongful gain to Us or to any third-party.
- We and Our affiliates will transfer some or all of your Personal Data with another business entity in the event of any merger, acquisition, re-organization, amalgamation, or restructuring of business, and such other business entity (or the new combined entity) will be required to follow this Policy with respect to Your Personal Data.
- In certain situations, MRPL may be required to disclose Personal Data in response to lawful requests by public authorities, where required by law (likely to comply with a warrant, court order, or legal notice served on MRPL), and when We believe that disclosure is necessary to protect Our rights, avoid litigation, protect Your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, and/or respond to a government request. We may also disclose Personal Data if We determine that such disclosure should be made for reasons of national security, law enforcement, or other issues of public importance.
- MRPL strives to protect Your Personal Data. For this Website, We use advanced and secure technology to ensure that Your Personal Data remains private within Our Website, subject to permitted uses as per this Policy. However, since no Data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be secure, MRPL cannot ensure or warrant the security of any Personal Data you transmit to Us or any information which we transmit to You from Our Website. Any such transmission is at Your own risk.
- MRPL may, at its discretion, update this Policy at any time, with or without any prior intimation to You. We encourage You to frequently check the Policy and stay updated. You acknowledge and agree that it is Your responsibility to review it periodically and become aware of any modifications. Your continued use of the Website indicates Your acceptance and agreement with the updated Policy as on date of use.
- The Website may contain links to other websites which are outside Our control and are not covered by this Policy. If You access other sites using the links provided, the operators of these websites may collect information from You which will be used by them in accordance with their privacy policy, the terms of which may differ from this Policy. MRPL shall not be responsible or liable for the treatment of Your Personal Data during and after Your use of such third-party websites.
- Kindly note that MRPL does not store Your payment card details or card data (i.e., credit/debit card number, expiration date, CVV and other such details) on their servers. We use payment gateways (currently it is Razorpay but can be changed at the discretion of MRPL at any point of time) for processing payments. When You make a purchase using Your card, You are automatically redirected to the payment gateway website, where all required transaction details are captured on the secured payment page, and encrypted, and are securely transmitted to Your card issuer for obtaining an authorization decision.
- The data is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) when processing payment. Your purchase transaction data is only used as long as necessary to complete Your purchase transaction. After that is complete, Your purchase transaction information is not saved. Our payment gateway adheres to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by MRPL and its service providers.
